Coal Gasification and Pyrolysis:
Utilization of low grade coal of high volatile matter to produce high valued olefins, BTX, phenol derivatives and high calorific value synthetic-gas (90%: Carbon Monoxide CO and Hydrogen H2) & char.
Utilization of Syn Gas as a fuel to produce electricity.
Coal Liquefaction:
The conversion of coal into liquid hydrocarbons, liquid fuels and petrochemicals.
Hydrogenation:
Reaction with hydrogen to saturate organic compounds.
Biomass- Refinery:
The conversion of various Agricultural Residues of lignocelluloses materials to convert into water soluble mono saccharides and various value added products.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Designing, detailing and commissioning of Entrained bed Coal Gasification and Pyrolysis plant.
Designing, detailing and commissioning of fluidised bed Coal Pyrolysis & Biomass- Refinery demo scale plant.
Design and development of two stage fluidised bed coal pyrolysis process.
Looking after day-to-day operational related activities in Coal Gasification and Pyrolysis process.
Handled operation of Entrained Flow Gasifier, Pyrolyser, Rotary Kiln ,Fixed Bed and Fluidized bed reactor , Reformer , Cyclone Separator , Distillation Column , Absorber , Quencher , Heat Exchangers , IC Engine , Relief System , Knockout Drum , Flare Stack.(Handled ALLEN BRADLEY SCADA, YOKOGAWA DCS for operation).
Monitoring operating parameters for all facilities and optimizing the process.
Downstream Product recovery system development.
Analysis of coal samples, product gas and liquid to figure out process calculation.
Preparation of PFD & P&ID.
Material balance & Energy balance of process.
Making SOP for the trials.
HAZOP study of the projects and following all safe practices as per OHSAS.
